Combatting Peahen Pollution

Greens are offering fresh ideas to help deal with pollution at the Peahen junction

Pollution at the Peahen Junction is worse than ever, not helped by the new traffic light timings, which keep road users AND pedestrians waiting far too long.

The Green Party wants to see this signalling sorted out to aid the flow of traffic and people.

In the meantime there are other measures the Council could implement to reduce pollution. One is asking drivers to switch off their engines while they wait at the junction.

Signs like the ones campaigners used today would remind drivers that switching off reduces pollution AND saves fuel.
