St Albans Greens gain parish council seat
Tom Hardy to represent Redbourn parish
Redbourn resident Tom Hardy has made history for the Green Party, becoming their first ever parish councillor in St Albans District.
The result of the Redbourn parish election is already known, as there were the same number of candidates as vacancies.
Mr Hardy said, "As a local resident, I'm looking forward to making my contribution to a cleaner, greener, happier Redbourn."
The Green Party is standing a record 21 candidates in 23 district and parish seats on 5th May this year.
Simon Grover, lead candidate in St Peters ward, said "We're all delighted that Tom will be serving the people of Redbourn, and we're confident of further gains this year as so few people can face the idea of voting Lib Dem."
